LIFE LIVED. LOVE LOST. LESSONS LEARNED.
Many people have different descriptions of love. Some say it is that feeling of knowing everything will be okay when you are with THAT person. The butterflies you get when his or her hand touches yours. Others define love as the warm feeling you get inside when you see his or her name pop up on your cell phone. The electricity that lingers through your body when your lips touch. The feeling of knowing exactly what to say at exactly the right time. The beautiful memories. Knowing that there never was and never will be anyone who will compare to that special someone. But what happens when LOVE is gone. When it all ends…
We go through life wondering if we could ever love someone the way we loved that one person. We can’t picture ourselves loving anyone else. We hide our feelings. We push everyone away because we are on reserve. We don’t want anyone else. We are afraid. Afraid of moving forward. Afraid of moving on and leaving every memory behind. Afraid that person will come back when it is too late. We close the doors. We build a wall. We go through life WONDERING. Wondering if we could ever find true love twice in one lifetime.
But if we never let go of the past, then we might never know. Love is out there and we need to do everything in our power to find it. We have to unlock the doors, fix the mess, and expose ourselves to new things. After all, you don’t know how good something could be unless you give it a chance. Live life and stop dwelling on the past. Love is out there and it is waiting for you!
